SSM Health Weight Management Services at St. Clare Hospital seeks an experienced, fellowship trained Bariatric Surgeon. This opportunity offers:

  • Established, respected, full service weight management program expanding to second campus

SSM Health St. Clare Hospital opened in Fenton, MO in 2009 as the first new hospital in St. Louis in 35 years. St. Clare is a full-service, 154-bed state-of-the-art hospital, designed to provide exceptional, patient-centered care. St. Clare Hospital serves the needs of a rapidly expanding population in southwest St. Louis County. The beautiful campus includes:

Qualifications

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • Completion of a General Surgery Residency
  • Completion of a fellowship encompassing current Bariatric Surgery procedures
  • Experience operating as solo surgeon with RNFA support
  • Board Certified in General Surgery
  • Missouri Medical License
  • DEA and ACLS certification
In addition to clinical skills, the candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, professionalism with an emphasis on integrity, a commitment to excellence, and ethical principles of clinical care. Also required are an ability to exercise confidentiality of patient information, informed consent, demonstration of respect, and regard for patient needs. All SSM physicians are expected to adhere to the basic SSM Health values of Excellence, Integrity, Teamwork, Service, and Initiative.

Computer literacy, including MS Excel and electronic communication skills are required. Physicians must be comfortable and proficient with EPIC electronic health record system, utilizing electronic tools such as email, mychart, PACS, LMS, etc. Timely completion of medical records is a requirement. Some weekends and extended hours may be required.
