POSITION SUMMARY

System Vice President / Chief Philanthropy Officer Position Available @SSMHealth

(St. Louis, Missouri - September 6, 2019) SSM Health, a nationally recognized Catholic, not-for-profit health system, is seeking a charismatic, strategic, and innovative philanthropy leader who possesses demonstrated success in developing strong and collaborative partnerships as well as enhancing donor investments.

While working directly with our health system Chief Marketing Officer (John Nguyen) and President/CEO (Laura Kaiser), this servant leadership position will play a critical role - both internally and externally to the communities we serve - to significantly grow philanthropic development in support of SSM Health's overall strategic transformation at a system level.

With care delivery sites in Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma and Wisconsin, SSM Health includes 23 hospitals, more than 290 physician offices and other outpatient and virtual care services, 10 post-acute facilities, comprehensive home care and hospice services, a pharmacy benefit company, a health insurance company and an accountable care organization.



Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's Degree in business or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of philanthropy experience in a director level or higher position
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of development, philanthropy, foundation board relations and fundraising
  • Possess strong financial acumen and effective decision-making skills to optimize the use of available resources
  • Additional professional fundraising accreditation (e.g. Fellow for the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy "FAHP" or Certified Fundraising Executive "CFRE") - (Preferred)
