Adult Outpatient Psychiatry Opportunity
SSM Health Medical Group - St. Mary's Hospital Jefferson City, Missouri
SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City, Missouri is recruiting for a full-time outpatient psychiatrist to join our comprehensive behavioral health program. We are committed to improving the quality of mental health in central Missouri by providing both inpatient and outpatient options. We are replacing an outpatient psychiatrist with a full patient panel.
Located just a three-minute drive from the hospital is our outpatient behavioral health clinic. A variety of specialty interests can be supported including addiction, geriatric, and child and adolescent psychiatry. Demand is high enough that the ramp-up time will be short and allow you to be as busy as you desire.
Located inside the hospital, we operate a 20 bed, adult, inpatient psychiatry unit. The average census is usually full. We are capable of treating a variety of mental health disorders including depressive disorders, bipolar, mood disorders, and schizophrenic disorders. We average around two admissions and discharges daily. The average length of stay is about 5 days. The unit receives patients from all over the state and has a strong reputation for quality care.
Our units are supported by psychologists, LCSWs, LPCs, recreational therapists, mental health technicians, utilization review, and program director. Our staff is experienced and as we've had very low turnover.
