SSM Health Medical Group, seeks to enhance and grow its Neurology Services at its Lake St. Louis location.

  • Consistently high producing colleagues, creating community need and a waiting patient panel
  • A well respected, physician led practice model that gives each physician a say in the operation of their own practice and overall direction of the organization
  • Highly trained, experienced staff and fully integrated electronic health records which minimize non-clinical tasks for the physicians
  • Well trained, experienced staff and EHR integrated system wide minimizes physician time spent on non-clinical tasks
  • Call is no more than 1:4, covering only one hospital

Location:
SSM St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake Saint Louis, MO recently underwent a $70 million renovation and expansion, bringing the total number of patient rooms (all private) to 199. The hospital was built in 1986 to meet the needs of western St. Charles County, and is currently the leading provider of emergency and obstetric services in St. Charles, Warren and Lincoln Counties. Offering a broad range of exceptional services in a warm and welcoming environment, St. Joseph Hospital West is a convenient resource, allowing area residents to receive outstanding health care close to home.

Lake Saint Louis was built in 1966 as a private recreational lake community in St. Charles County. Today, Lake Saint Louis has approximately 14,000 residents and one of the best school systems in the state. The community is well served by two major highways, making the greater St. Louis region, with over 2 million residents, very accessible. Outstanding public, private and parochial schools are available throughout the metro area. St. Louis is home to 3 major Universities - Washington University, St. Louis University and University of Missouri, St. Louis. St. Louis is home to the Arch, the MLB St. Louis Cardinals, the NHL St. Louis Blues, the St. Louis Symphony, Fox Theater, Art Museum, Science Center, Botanical Gardens and the Zoo are wonderful attractions.

Qualifications

  • M.D. or D.O.
  • Completion of an accredited Neurology Fellowship Program
  • Board Certified in Neurology, or Board Eligible (must become Board Certified within 2 years).
  • Missouri Medical License
  • DEA certificate

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience

In addition to clinical skills, the candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, professionalism with an emphasis on integrity, a commitment to excellence, and ethical principles of clinical care. Also required are an ability to exercise confidentiality of patient information, informed consent, demonstration of respect, and regard for patient needs. All SSM physicians are expected to adhere to the basic SSM Health values of Excellence, Integrity, Teamwork, Service, and Initiative.
Computer literacy, including MS Excel and electronic communication skills are required. Physicians must be comfortable and proficient with EPIC electronic health record system, utilizing electronic tools such as email, mychart, PACS, LMS, etc. Timely completion of medical records is a requirement. Some weekends and extended hours may be required.
