Advanced Practitioner - Urology - SSM Health Dean Medical Group, Madison WI

The Opportunity
SSM Health Dean Medical Group is seeking an Advanced Practitioner (PA/NP) to join our Urology Department. This service is heavily grounded in routine urology surgery with opportunities to explore in subspecialties such as Advanced Endoscopy and Laparoscopy, Robotics, and Pelvic Health.

The Urology Department is comprised of 6 Surgeons and 3 Physician Assistants. The position includes operative first assisting, inpatient/floor and outpatient/clinic responsibilities.

An ideal candidate would have surgical experience, or a strong attraction to the operating room. They would be skilled in performing invasive procedures. Candidates must be able to function in a high-stress environment and thrive within a team approach model. Candidates must actively pursue opportunities to improve the quality of care provided to the Urology patients across the continuum of care.

Opportunity Highlights:
- Full time position with competitive salary and benefits package
- APs will work with surgeons across a variety subspecialties both in the OR and clinical settings
- Other duties would include a mix of inpatient and outpatient duties
- Position is split between OR/hospital time- 30-40% and outpatient clinic time- 60-70%
- Ability to manage procedures within outpatient clinical setting

The Hospital
SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - Madison has been serving South Central Wisconsin since 1912. The hospital is a tertiary care facility with 350 beds that is used by SSM Health Dean Medical Group physicians. The hospital and the medical group work in a complementary manner as part of SSM Health Wisconsin to provide excellence in patient care. In addition to inpatient care, the hospital provides a variety of outpatient diagnostic and treatment services.
