Are you a certified Advanced Practice Provider with a proven ability to engage with their colleagues and patients? If so, this opportunity may just be for you!

In our busy, 3 physician Gastroenterology practice, you will put your advanced training and experience to excellent use, enhancing patient care on the campus of SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond Heights, MO. This position offers:

  • A chance to fulfil a significant community need by office visits, patient education, and inpatient consultations and rounding
  • The opportunity to work with an Interventional Gastroenterologist

SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital is centrally located in Richmond Heights, a first-ring suburb of St. Louis. St Mary's is a 525-bed hospital that provides cardiovascular and open-heart surgery, heart attack care, a chest pain center, advanced stroke care, high-risk pregnancies, fetal surgery, and the latest imaging and outpatient services.

The greater St. Louis metropolitan area has over 2 million residents. Over 250 public schools, including several winners of national awards, and 200+ private schools educate almost 50,000 students.

St. Louis is home to 3 major Universities - Washington University, St. Louis University and University of Missouri, St. Louis.   • Adult Nurse Practitioner Certification Required
  • Active Missouri license
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in a Gastroenterology practice

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience

In addition to clinical skills, the candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, professionalism with an emphasis on integrity, a commitment to excellence, and ethical principles of clinical care. Also required are an ability to exercise confidentiality of patient information, informed consent, demonstration of respect, and regard for patient needs. All SSM providers are expected to adhere to the basic SSM Health values of Excellence, Integrity, Teamwork, Service, and Initiative.

Computer literacy, including MS Excel and electronic communication skills are required. Physicians must be comfortable and proficient with EPIC electronic health record system, utilizing electronic tools such as email, mychart, PACS, LMS, etc. Timely completion of medical records is a requirement. Some weekends and extended hours may be required.
