The Opportunity
SSM Health is actively recruiting for a full-time (1.0 FTE) optometrist at its new state of the art Eye Clinic, located in Waupun, WI, will work collaboratively with our eye services team at the nearby Fond du Lac Eye Clinic, as well as with our integrated SSM Health Davis Duehr Dean Eye Institute. This position will work Monday-Friday. This is great opportunity for to build a practice with an established patient base and specialty access on-site. Our optometrists provide a high level of care to our complex patients, and partners with comprehensive ophthalmologists and other eye subspecialists (retina and pediatric ophthalmology) at that location. Subspecialists in retina, glaucoma, pediatric ophthalmology, cornea and oculoplastics are also located throughout our integrated eye network and are readily available for consults. Ideal candidates are board certified in optometry. Newer graduates will be considered; residency trained preferred and board certification would need to be obtained within five years of hire. The Hospital and Clinic:

Waupun Memorial Hospital is a 25-bed hospital which provides a full range of inpatient and outpatient services to Waupun and surrounding rural areas. Featuring a two-story provider clinic creating a direct connection to hospital resources (as well as PCP's and clinic specialists). State-of-the-art surgery center features three high tech ORs, endoscopy room, 11 pre-post op rooms, and 4 recovery rooms. Department of Correction Security Unit, 2018 construction of 14 bed Medical surgical unit, 3 bed ICU and 4 bed LD&P.

Waupun (population 11,340) is located near the Horicon Marsh, a national wildlife refuge, perfect for outdoor enthusiasts and offers Midwest values of friendliness, hard work and sense of community.
